“Charbie” is a childhood nickname of mine. It was given to me as a baby, and I have been affectionately called that by my family ever since. It is pronounced, Chabee, as the r is silent.
Over the years, as I’ve gotten older, it has been shortened to “Cha-Cha” or simply “Cha”. The latter being what many of you may know me by now. However, Charbie is the actual origin of my name.
ORIGIN OF THE NAME
Charbie The Miracle, came from the fact that I was a miracle from the very beginning, coming into this world, at birth. Everyone that grew up with me knows the story, as my father would testify about it every year on my birthday, of how I was a premature baby, who doctors gave disheartening statistics to. However, my family prayed for me and prayed me through that unfavorable circumstance. They tell me, my Grandmother (and Pastor) asked the doctors if she could stick her hands into the incubator, and while she prayed for me, I held on to her finger, and wouldn’t let go. Showing much strength. Ultimately, God performed a mighty miracle, I survived that ordeal, with no birth defects. Ever since, she’s called me her little “Miracle Baby”.
I have received 2 “once in a lifetime” miracles. The kind of miracles that were both literally life or death scenarios. These were the type of miracles that people can only dream of. I am so humbled to that fact, and often wonder, “God why did you choose me to save?” Out of all the people in the world, needing miracles, He chose me, twice. That will never cease at blowing my mind. My entire life and existence have been defined as one gigantic miracle, as I shouldn’t be here today. So, I just found it appropriate to title my blog “Charbie The Miracle”.

The Miracle
“Miracle” defined by Webster’s Dictionary is “an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs.” Oxford Languages Dictionary defines “Miracle” as “a surprising and welcome event that is not explicable by natural or scientific laws and is therefore considered to be the work of a divine agency.”
The Doctor’s described what happen to me as a “freak
accident”. The blood clots shouldn’t have happened, but I also shouldn’t’ve survived them either. On paper, there was no logical way I would be able to overcome that. Medically, I should not have survived that ordeal, and it is nothing but the grace of God, that I’m still here to tell the story. HIS miraculous power is why I’m still alive today!
A Miracle. That’s exactly what I am.
THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY * THE JOURNEY *

In 2016 I started my first business. The following year, 2017, I started my own personal blog that focused on lifestyle, entertainment, fashion, inspiration, sports, pop culture, church culture, and the like. I completely stopped both endeavors after I became ill. After surviving that ordeal, I was inspired to tell my story. When thinking of ways I could share my testimony, I felt that blogging could be a good avenue, as I could reach my generation, in an informal way, expressing my authentic thoughts and views. This time, instead of blogging about “worldly”, trendy things, I decided I would blog about more relevant topics, such as my divine miracle, sharing stories of inspiration in general, as well as exploring the concerns of life for the average young Christian. Now, while I’ve had this idea for some time now, and have been working behind the scenes to make it happen, I have finally mustered up the courage to take that leap of faith, and I’ve decided this is the time to come forth with this special project of mine. And here I am.
October 28, will forever be a special day for me. It is a day of great celebration, as that’s the day I was found unresponsive, and the day God began a journey of healing, recovery, and restoration in my life.
